Early Bird - 2024 Prascher Dasher (1)

The Brush Rotary Club and the Brush Chamber of Commerce are hosting the 2024 Prascher Dasher Oktoberfest 5K run/walk in honor and memory of Ron Prascher, a long-time Rotarian and Brush Chamber Executive Director, on October 5th, 2024.

Check-in is at 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM at the Beaver Valley Elementary School gym, located at 420 Glacier Avenue. Participants work their way through Watrous Park, into the Sunset Park neighborhood, up Bunker Hill, and wind up at The Course at Petteys Park. Read the schedule of events for details of the run, walk, and kids' run.

After the race, we'll convene at the West Shelter at Petteys Park for music, door prizes, and awards. We will award a medal to the top finishers in each age  category and ribbons to the second- and third-place finishers in each age category. Top overall finishers will receive a plaque. To celebrate Oktoberfest, we're giving a large soft pretzel to each participant, plus a German beer to those aged 21 and older. We're also giving a free Oktoberfest pint glass to the the five participants with the best Oktoberfest-themed costumes.

The cost is $30 for early registration(October 4th deadline) and $35 to sign up the day of the race. All proceeds benefit the Rotary Foundation in their efforts to eradicate polio and to provide scholarships and youth leadership opportunities for students at Brush Middle School and Brush High School.

After the fun run and celebration, participants are invited to attend the Oktoberfest festivities in downtown Brush.
